To all potential sponsors,
I confirm that Jen Grace is a registered athlete with the Snowsports Association of Ireland, and is also registered with the FIS (Fédération International de Ski), the international governing body for the sport worldwide.
Jen began racing with a pro/am team in the summer of 2001, and continued for the winter of 2001/2002. Following a very full off-snow training progamme in the summer of 2002, she has committed herself to a very full programme of racing and training both in Europe and America in the 2002/2003 season.
Jen took time off from her busy schedule to present an inspiring talk in Dublin, to the Ski Club of Ireland on her goals, her strong motivation, commitment and enthusiasm making a strong impact particularly on the younger snowboarders and skiers present.
Jen has already demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her chosen path, and it is hoped will represent Ireland at the 2003 snowboard world championships to be held in Austria. This is the first time the country will be represented in snowboarding, male or female, and marks a very significant development for Snowsports in Ireland.
She will be receiving the full support of the Snowsports Association of Ireland in her very full and continuing programme of racing and training in the lead up to the selection for the World Championships in 2003. We hope that this will be followed by representation for Ireland in the 2006 Olympic games to be held in Turin, Italy.
The financial commitment facing any athlete hoping to represent their country at top level is very high, and The Snowsports Association of Ireland would be grateful for any support that can be provided for this athlete.
Yours sincerely
Robert Norwood President, Snowsports Association of Ireland |
